The Pont Melin Fach car park is closed. You can still follow the Elidir Trail if you start from the village of Pontneddfechan.
The small car park at Pont Melin Fach in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park is no longer open.
There is a barrier at the entrance - please do not attempt to drive to this car park.
The Elidir Trail is a walking route from Pont Melin Fach car park to the village of Pontneddfechan.
You can still follow the trail if you start from Pontneddfechan.
The path from Pontneddfechan is relatively level at first but it soon becomes uneven, and there are some steep ascents.
The route back to Pontneddfechan is along the same path.
The Elidir Trail is in a popular part of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park known as Waterfall Country.
We want you to return home safely after your visit to Waterfall Country.
Serious accidents do happen to visitors here and there have been several fatalities in recent years.
You are responsible for your own safety as well as the safety of any children and animals with you during your visit.
